Service 40X

The new 40X service, due to commence on 7 November, has unfortunately had to be postponed. The start date for the service, which was to be run under contract to Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust, has been delayed due to the need for the Trust to meet stringent EU tendering regulations.

Severe storms today are likely to cause service disruptions, particularly a fallen tree in Arundel affecting services 84 and 85, and debris in Shoreham affecting service 19. For the latest information on these, or any other of our services, please call our office on 01903 690025.

Roadworks are scheduled to take place at Loxwood during the week commencing 7 January 2008. This will affect service 64. During the works, the service will start from Lakers Lea at 09:07, then Ifold (OPPOSITE Stores) 09:09 and Plaistow (OPPOSITE Church) 09:14. Thereafter, the service will run as per the normal timetable.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF SOUTH FARM ROAD

Services 16 and 84 may be subjected to delays throughout their journeys due to the temporary closure of South Farm Road following a mains water leak. Whilst the road is closed, services 16 & 84 will divert along Broadwater Road and Northcourt Road. These services will therefore not serve Worthing station during this period. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

ROADWORKS IN LYNDHURST ROAD WORTHING

Services 13, 14 and 18 may be subjected to delays throughout their journeys until March 2006 due to on-going long-term roadworks in Lyndhurst Road Worthing. These works are still on-going in July 2006.

Minor revisions to Horsham Schools services from 21 April 2008.

These services will be operated by low-floor easy access vehicles from January 2008

The Littlehampton Town Bus service will run all day on Saturdays & Sundays over the weekends 15/16, 22/23 & 29/30 Dec 2007.

Compass are operating two Christmas Park & Ride services in Horsham on the four Saturdays before Christmas.

From 30 Oct 2007. New services between Storrington & Pulborough, operating on Tuesdays & Fridays. Service 72 runs via West Chiltington, and service 73 via Amberley.

From 15 Oct 2007. New Littlehampton Town Bus service, running from Sainsbury's Rustington via Rustington, Littlehampton and Wick to Tesco Littlehampton.

From Tuesday 18 September, the interim timetable is being replaced by a new, slightly amended version. The service will also be operated by our latest easy access low floor vehicle. We are aware that there are few bus stop signs along the route - these should be replaced shortly.

Compass is operating the former Palaeobus routes 652, 662, 674 and 682 with effect from Tuesday 18 September 2007. This is to a similar timetable, and operate on schooldays only.

In addition to the journey already operated, Compass are taking over the two Saturday journeys previously operated by Palaeobus.

From 3 Sep 2007, Compass are taking over the operation of the Worthing - Goring - Ferring - Angmering schooldays service.

From 3 Sep 2007, we are pleased to announce that the Ashington - Horsham service will be operated by easy-access low-floor vehicles as soon as the overhanging trees in West Chiltington have been cut back.

From 3 Sep 2007, Compass are taking over the operation of the Cowfold - Henfield - Bramber - Steyning - Lancing - Worthing service.

From 6 Aug 2007, Compass are taking over the operation of the various bus services to the Sainsbury's stores at Chichester & Rustington. See timetables page for futher details.

From 29 May 2007, Compass are taking over the operation of the West Itchenor - East Wittering - Bracklesham - Selsey service.

As we have been unable, despite our best efforts, to secure funding from WSCC or the Health Authority, we very much regret having to advise that this service will cease running from 16 April 2007.
