DIVERSION ON ROUTE 99 (Chichester
- Petworth)
From 12 January 2011, for a period of approx 23
weeks, Burton Park Road will be closed for drainage works.
This will affect Service 99, which will be unable
to use this road. Therefore, journeys that operate to Bignor and/or
Sutton will need to come down the un-named road from Haslingbourne
Lane. This will increase the journey time slightly, and will mean
that the A285 between Burton Park Road and Haslingbourne Lane cannot
be served on journeys that are going to Sutton and/or Bignor.
We apologise for any inconvenience that this may
cause.
DELAYS TO SERVICES IN PULBOROUGH
Due to roadworks in Pulborough causing major disruption,
all our services operating through Pulborough are likely to be delayed.
We apologise for any inconvenience that this may
cause.
DIVERSION ON ROUTE 19 (Shoreham
Beach - Holmbush)
Because of the Airshow this weekend, Service 19
is unable to serve Erringham Road, Mill Hill, Mill Hill Drive or
Chanctonbury Drive today (Saturday 20 August 2011). Instead, it
will be going along Downsway between Upper Shoreham Road and the
top of The Drive.
We apologise for any inconvenience that this may
cause.
DIVERSION ON ROUTE 100 (Pulborough)
Due to roadworks in Pulborough causing major disruption,
Service 100 is unable to serve Lower Street in Pulborough west of
Glebelands, or Pulborough Station.
We apologise for any inconvenience that this may
cause.
DELAYS TO SERVICES IN PULBOROUGH
Due to roadworks in Pulborough causing major disruption,
all our services operating through Pulborough are likely to be delayed.
In addition, Service 100 is following a diversion - please see above.
We apologise for any inconvenience that this may
cause.
DIVERSION ON ROUTE 19 (Shoreham
Beach - Holmbush)
Due to roadworks in Shoreham High Street causing
major disruption, journeys on Service 19 heading towards Holmbush
will be diverted via Old Shoreham Road, Freehold Street, Swiss Gardens,
Hebe Road and Queen's Place. These journeys will therefore not serve
the stops in the High Street, Surry Street or outside the Police
Station in Ham Road. Passengers wishing to travel to/from the High
Street can use the Ropetackle stop in Old Shoreham Road.
Journeys from Holmbush to Shoreham Beach will continue
to operate via the normal route. All journeys are liable to be running
late as a result of these works.
We apologise for any inconvenience that this may
cause.
NEW SUNDAY SERVICE ON SERVICE
100
We are delighted to announce that following a successful
trial, we have decided to continue operating Sunday and Public Holiday
journeys on the Pulborough - Horsham section of the route.
Journeys will operate every 2 hours from 09:27
at Pulborough, with all but the first and last journeys operating
to/from Pulborough Brooks where, on production of your valid bus
ticket, you can claim a free tea/coffee at the restaurant!
With Easter, the Royal Wedding
and May Bank Holidays coming up, this is how our services will be
running:
Good Friday and Easter Monday we will be running
normal SUNDAY services, plus Holmbush Express. Please note that
Sainsbury's services will NOT be running.
Easter Saturday will be normal Saturday services,
and Easter Sunday normal Sunday services.
On the Royal Wedding day, 29 April, we will be
running normal SUNDAY services, plus Holmbush Express. Please note
that Sainsbury's services will NOT be running. The same will apply
on the May Day bank holiday, 2 May.
Services will run as normal on all other days over
this period.
DELAYS ON SERVICE 19 (Shoreham)
Roadworks in Shoreham High Street are currently
causing delays to Service 19. We are trying to operate this service
as best we can, but regret that certain journeys are ending up somewhat
on the late side.
We apologise for any inconvenience that this may
cause.
BRIGHTON MARATHON AFFECTING SERVICE
17
Due to many roads in Brighton being closed because
of the Marathon on Sunday 10 April, Service 17 will be unable to
operate along its normal route.
Heading into Brighton, it will turn onto the A27
before getting to Patcham, and then travel via Dyke Road Avenue
and Dyke Road, terminating at Churchill Square Stop F.
The return journeys will depart Churchill Square
as normal, and operate via Dyke Road, Dyke Road Avenue and the A27
before regaining the normal route just north of Patcham.
We regret that we will be unable to serve Patcham,
Preston Park, Preston Circus or the Old Steine.
We apologise for any inconvenience this will cause.
ROADWORKS AFFECTING SERVICE 150
Keynor Lane and Highleigh Road south of Rotten
Row are closed for roadworks on Tue 8 March 2011.
Service 150 will therefore be unable to serve these
roads after 09:30.
Journeys will therefore operate via Rotten Row
and the B2145 Selsey Road between Highleigh and Sidlesham.
At some point during the day the works will move
to Highleigh Road north of Rotten Row and Mapsons Lane. When this
happens, the 150 will revert to using Keynor Lane, but will the
have to go direct to Almodington via Ham Road and Easton Lane, and
will be unable to serve either Highleigh or Batchmere.
We apologise for any inconvenience that this may
cause.
DIVERSION ON ROUTE 84 (Worthing-Chichester)
West Walberton Lane, between Walberton and Fontwell,
will be closed for 4 weeks from Monday 7 March 2011. PLEASE NOTE
CHANGE OF DATE. This will affect service 84, which will therefore
operate as follows:
Chichester-bound journeys will run directly from
Binstead Havenwood to Fontwell along the A27. They will then exit
Fontwell turning back onto the A27 and turn right down Yapton Lane
following the normal route through Walberton. After Walberton services
will run through Eastergate Lane before regaining the normal route
on Fontwell Avenue.
Worthing-bound journeys will turn right off Fontwell
Avenue into Eastergate Lane and will follow the normal route through
Walberton up to the A27, and will then divert through Fontwell before
resuming the original route.
Please note, therefore, that in both directions
Fontwell and Walberton will be served in the reverse order to normal.
There will be no service operating in Fontwell Avenue between Eastergate
Lane and the A27 roundabout. Worthing-bound journeys through Fontwell
will operate in the REVERSE direction to normal, and will therefore
serve the stops on the SOUTH side of the road (the same side as
the Chichester-bound journeys).
It is likely that in the Chichester-bound direction
buses will serve Fontwell up to 5 minutes EARLIER than stated on
the normal timetable.
DIVERSION IN WARNHAM SERVICE 50
Church Street in Warnham will be closed for sewer
works between Bell Road and Friday Street between 4 January and
15 February 2011.
Therefore, service 50 will be unable to serve Broadbridge
Heath, Broadbridge Heath Road, Bailing Hill or Church Street during
this period.
Services from Ockley will come in through Threestile
Road and School Hill, then turn left into Bell Road, and onto the
A24 to the Broadbridge Heath roundabout, which they will regain
the normal route.
Services from Horsham will turn right onto the
A24 at the Broadbridge Heath roundabout, and follow the A24 to Bell
Road, then rejoining the normal route at School Hill.
Please note that Compass only operate this service
1 journey each way on Saturdays (08:36 Walliswood-Horsham, and 11:35
Horsham-Ockley). On Mondays to Fridays, various journeys are operated
by Arriva and Buses4U on this route, and Arriva also operate one
journey from Walliswood to Horsham on a Saturday. These operators
may not necessarily follow the same diversion route, so you should
check directly with them.
We apologise for any inconvenience that this may
cause.
ROADWORKS AFFECTING SERVICE 99
The Street, Sutton, will be closed 28-31 January
2011 for roadworks. Therefore we regret we will not be able to serve
either Sutton or Bignor between these dates.
Bignor Road, between Sutton & Bignor, will
be closed for road works on Tuesday 1 February. Service 99 will
be unable to serve Bignor on this day.
We apologise for any inconvenience that this may
cause.
ROADWORKS IN PETWORTH - SERVICES
76 & 99
Please note that Park Road and Church Street, Petworth,
will be closed for roadworks from Tuesday 8 February to Thursday
10 February inclusive.
Therefore, Service 99 will be unable to serve Hampers
Green, but will still be able to serve Petworth Square as normal.
However, it will operate a one-way loop around Petworth via Haslingbourne
Lane, Grove Lane, Grove Street, Middle Street, and New Street to
Petworth Square, and out via Saddlers Row, Pound Street and Station
Road.
Service 76 will be unable to serve Petworth Square,
and will consequently be operating via a temporary stop at the top
of East Street, then along Angel Street (will stop at the Angel
Inn if required), Kingspit Lane and Horsham Road (A272) before regaining
its normal route at North Street.
Please note that in order to accommodate the extra
time this diversion will take, Service 76 to Horsham will
be leaving Petworth 7 minutes earlier than normal.
We apologise for any inconvenience that this may
cause.
ROAD CLOSURE AFFECTING SERVICES
8 & 8A
Due to building works in West Drive, South Ferring,
this road will be closed from 08:00 to 12:30 on Monday 24 January.
Services 8 & 8A will therefore have to turn
round at the South Drive terminus, and will be unable to serve the
stops in West Drive and Ferringham Way.
We apologise for any inconvenience that this may
cause.
Drainage Works in Pulborough Wed
15 December
Due to massive delays being caused by drainage
works at the junction of the A283 and A29 in Pulborough, we regret
that we are unable to serve Lower Street and the Station until 16:00.
We apologise for any inconvenience that this will
cause.

are pleased to advise that we are operating a special Sunday &
Bank Holiday Service on the 12 Littlehampton Town Bus from 28 November

September 2010
Roadworks in High Street, Worthing, mean we have
to divert services 16, 84, 106 and 108 as detailed below:
Service 16: Journeys
heading to West Tarring will turn right into Union Place and head
straight down into South Street before turning round at the Pier
roundabout to rejoin its normal route. Will not be serving the stops
at Waitrose, Steyne Gardens or Worthing Pier. Journeys heading to
Sainsbury's and Lancing are unaffected.
Service 84: Journeys
heading into Worthing will divert past the Hospital and down Farncombe
Road before rejoining the normal route past Steyne Gardens. Will
not be serving the Waitrose stop.
Service 106: Journeys
heading to Worthing will turn right into Union Place and head straight
down into South Street and terminate at Worthing Pier on the opposite
side of the road to normal. Will not be serving the stops at Waitrose
or Steyne Gardens. Journeys heading to Henfield are unaffected.
Service 108: Outbound
journeys to Horsham will follow their normal route. Returning journeys
will follow the diversion via Union Place and terminate in South
Street.
For the latest information on the situation,
or any other of our services, please call our office on 01903 690025
Monday-Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm, Saturday 9.00am - 1.00pm.
New Timetable from 6 September
2010
Our new timetable commences from Monday 6 September,
and a number of services will be changing slightly, plus there is
a new service 70A in Horsham. Please see below for details of the
changes. Note some services operate slightly EARLIER than previously.
Steyning Christmas Market
Steyning High Street will be closed from 17:00
on Wednesday 8 December. This will affect the late afternoon service
100s and the last 106 journey from Worthing.
These services will therefore be unable to serve
the Clock Tower (the 106 will also be unable to serve Shootingfield).
They will therefore only be able to run to the Leisure Centre from
the by-pass, where they will have to turn around and go back out
the same way.
We apologise for any inconvenience that this will
cause.
Roadworks in Horley from 25 October
2010
Service
123 in Horley is operating to a temporary timetable - please click
here for details.
Service 123, Horley
With effect from Monday 26 July, Victoria Road
by Horley Railway Station will be closed for two weeks for roadworks.
Service 123 will therefore run to a temporary timetable for the
duration of the works. This means we will be unable to serve Balcombe
Road other than before the first journey and after the last. Please
We apologise for any inconvenience that this may
cause.
Service 16, Lancing
Upper Boundstone Lane will be closed to traffic
for one week commencing 26 July 2010. Accordingly we shall have
to re-route service 16 via Greet Road while these works are taking
place.
We apologise for any inconvenience that this may
cause.
Services 63 & 98, Horsham
With effect from Sunday 23 May, the daytime Sunday
service 98 is being operated by Metrobus.
We will still operate the last journey of the day. Service 63 will
continue to operate to the same timetable, but has now been extended
to service Horsham Railway Station.
Service 16, South Farm Road, Worthing
THURSDAY 29 APRIL 2010.
Due to a burst water main, South Farm Road is closed by the level
crossing. Service 16 is therefore following a diversion via Northcourt
Road, and will be unable to serve the Clifton Road stops in Teville
Road or the Pavilion Road stops in South Farm Road.
Service 106, South Farm Road,
Worthing
THURSDAY 29 APRIL 2010.
Due to roadworks in Lyndhurst Road, service 106 will travel along
the A259 Brighton Road between Brooklands Park and Farncombe Road.
It will still serve the Hospital.

These works have been delayed - we understand they
are now due to commence week beginning Monday 3 May 2010.
Emergency gas works in High Street, Worthing are
due to commence Monday 19 April 2010 for a period of 6 weeks. During
this period, the road will be closed to SOUTHBOUND traffic.
This will affect services
16, 84, 106 and 108. They will therefore be unable to serve
Waitrose, Steyne Gardens or Worthing Pier stop E.
Service 84 heading to Worthing will therefore continue
straight down Chapel Road to get to the Pier. Services 16, 106 and
108 heading westbound along Lyndhurst Road will continue past the
Hospital and instead of turning into High Street will go along North

run as normal.
We apologise for any inconvenience that this will
cause.

We have been advised that Station Road, Petworth,
will be closed from 12 April to 12 May 2010 just north of Haslingbourne
Lane. Therefore, service 99 will only be able to operate via Grove
Street or Byworth. School services normally operating via Station
Road (including the 427 to Midhurst School) will also be subject
to diversions and delay. Journeys will operate via Haslingbourne
Lane and the A283.
Brighton Marathon
Due to road closures because of the Brighton Marathon,
the 09:01 service 17 journey from Horsham due Brighton Churchill
Square 10:10 will terminate at Patcham Black Lion at 09:53. The
10:30 journey from Churchill Square will therefore start from Patcham
Black Lion at 10:49. The remaining services should run as normal,
although we reserve the right to terminate journeys short in Brighton
if road conditions dictate.
Service 16, Wiston Avenue, Tarring
Due to roadworks in Wiston Avenue, we are unable
to serve Wiston Avenue, South Farm Road Shops or Rectory Road on
TUESDAY 27 APRIL 2010.
Buses from Worthing will therefore be routed along St Lawrence
