LEWES ROAD CLOSURES COMMENCING 21ST AUGUST 2017

FISHER STREET 21st AUGUST – 25th AUGUST.

Service 123 will divert from Kingston Road to Bell Lane, Winterbourne Hollow to the Prison Cross Roads then Western Road and High Street to the Bus Station. Journeys into Lewes will not be able to serve Southover or the station.

Service 129 will also return from Winterbourne via Prison Cross Roads, Western Road and the High Street.

Service 127 will depart from Waitrose and turn right into the High Street to Market Cross then via Market Street, North Street, Lancaster Street and Abinger Place and pick up normal line of route from here, this will affect journeys to Landport Estate only. During this time, Friars Walk, Lansdown Place and Station Street will not be served.

MARKET STREET 29TH AUGUST – 4TH SEPTEMBER

All buses will turn left from the High Street into Fisher Street then right into West Street. Roads will be busier than normal during this time so some delays are expected.

Please note that the bus stop in Fisher Street is not available to alight for services that would not normally use Fisher Street, this is still open to the 123 and 127 route.

Service 127 and 128 towards Malling and Spences Lane will serve a temporary stop on East Street adjacent to the Bus Station and will not serve Waitrose.

Service 143 will run via Friars Walk, Lansdown Place and Station Street after leaving the Bus Station.

Please note that roads are going to be congested during these closures and we will do our very best to minimise delays and disruption. The road works are essential and out of our control. We apologise in advance for any inconveniences this may cause.

Our drivers will be doing the very best they can so please bear with us!
