Brighton Ticket Fraud

Posted on Posted in News

As you may be aware from local media, a number of counterfeit tickets have been sold in the Brighton area which has led to multiple arrests being made.

We understand that some passengers may not realise they are using one of these tickets, however, as with any counterfeit product, as a business, along with Brighton & Hove buses, we can not continue accepting them.

Our drivers have been advised on how to identify these tickets and have been instructed to withdraw them and exchange the ticket for a One Day Network Saver.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information about the supply of fake tickets is asked to report online at https://sussex.police.uk/appealresponse or call 101 quoting serial number 1638 of 11/5.

Further tickets should be purchased either directly from the Driver, Brighton & Hove Buses at 43 Conway Street, Hove or from one of their listed agents; alternatively travel can be purchased using the keycards or mobile app. For further information please look at our website, buses.co.uk, under tickets.
