Some of our fares are changing from Monday 24th April, in most cases passengers will see a rise in the price they pay for tickets.
Managing Director Chris Chatfield said “We are trying hard to avoid further cuts to our services so we have taken the decision to increase fares from 24th April by more than usual, as we believe that passengers would prefer to pay an increased fare rather than have to face more reductions in services. However some fares will have smaller increases and in some cases there will be no increase all.”
East Sussex, West Sussex & Surrey – From Monday 24th April
Most fares will rise by about 10%, some slightly less and some slightly more due to the need to round fares to the nearest 10 pence. Some fares will not change where we can hold the current price of bus travel.
Brighton & Hove – From Tuesday 25th April
Brighton CentreFare tickets on services 16, 37, 37B, 47, 56, 57 and 66 operated on behalf of Brighton & Hove City Council will increase by twenty pence to £2.20 from Tuesday 25th April. This is in line with all other bus services in the city. Other fares on these services are unchanged.
