Posted on Posted in News, Service Disruptions, Service Update

UPDATE 14th June – The road will be open between Tuesday 15th and Sunday 20th June and buses will operate to normal times. Daytime road closure will be in place again from Monday 21st June and buses will again be on diversion.

Please note that the A281 at Grafham (between Rushett Common and Palmers Cross) will be closed to all traffic between 09.00 and 14.30 hours Monday to Friday only from Monday 7 June 2021 for up to 24 days.  This is due to carriageway reconstruction and resurfacing work.

This will mean that service 24 will not be able to operate through Birtley, Palmers Cross and Elmbridge Village during the times of the closure and will take an alternative route.

Journeys affected will be: 08.50, 10.40 & 12.40 from Guildford to Cranleigh and 10.30 & 12.30 from Cranleigh to Guildford.

Surrey County Council have supported a free shuttle bus service to operate during this time, this will operate to link Elmbridge Village, West Cranleigh and Birtley to Cranleigh and Guildford.  Click here for the timetable and more information.

We are sorry for any inconvenience caused during these essential works.
