The Compass Travel Sussex Student Fare Card gives young people aged 16 – 19 years 25% off most bus fares on our services throughout East and West Sussex.
Present your Sussex Student Fare Card to the driver and you can receive 25% off the price of an adult single, return or weekly ticket additionally if you use our services to Bishop Luffa in Chichester or Millais or Forest Schools in Horsham then you can save on a termly pass.

- The Compass Sussex Student Fare Card (here after referred to as Student Card) is a discount card for young people aged between 16 & 19 years of age.
- Student Card gives a 25% discount on our bus services in the administrative counties of East and West Sussex (Discounts not valid in Surrey or Brighton & Hove where alternative schemes exist)
- Discount is available on standard, weekly, return and single tickets purchased from the driver and student term tickets purchased through our website.
- Discount is not available on Discovery, Compass Rover or Freedom tickets.
- Student Card is valid for one year from the date of issue.
- Student Card must display a recent photograph of the holder and are not transferable.
- Student Card is not valid if altered of defaced in any way.
- Refunds will not be considered for any reason
- Lost cards will be replaced for an administration fee of £10.
- Sussex Student Card discounts are only valid for travel on journeys starting or finishing in the administrative counties of East and West Sussex.
- In East Sussex 3ID cards maybe used to purchase East Sussex Freedom tickets only, all other students discounted tickets can only be purchased with a Sussex Student Fare Card.
- In West Sussex only the Sussex Student Fare Card maybe used to purchase student’s discounted tickets no other student discount card or form of ID is valid.
- Sussex Student Card discounts are not valid on services 23, 24, 25, 26, 32, 43 and 45 operated on behalf of Surrey County Council, on these services only the Surrey Bus Student Fare Card is valid.
- Sussex Student Cards may be used on service 42 for journeys that begin or end at Alfold Crossways or on journeys covering the section between Pigbush Lane, Loxwood Road and Durfold Wood in West Sussex, on all other parts of the route only the Surrey Bus Student Fare Card is valid.
- Sussex Student discounts are not valid on the following services
- services 37 & 37B in Brighton
- services 740 & 743 to Steyning Grammar School
- service 7 operated on behalf of Stagecoach South
- special services operated in conjunction with a special event.
