We have just been notified of an emergency road closure in Maresfield for all day tomorrow (Thursday 31 August only). Buses will be diverted:
Service 31, 31A & 31B – From Uckfield, normal line of route up to Budletts Roundabout, turn left onto A26 Uckfield bypass, at the Black Down Roundabout turn right on to A22 Maresfield Bypass up to Batts Bridge Roundabout turning left back to normal line of route. For buses operating from Cuckfield the same diversion applies but in reverse. PLEASE NOTE: this will mean no 31/31A service in Maresfield all day.
Service 261 – From Uckfield, normal line of route up to Budletts Roundabout, turn left onto A26 Uckfield bypass, at the Black Down Roundabout turn right on to A22 Maresfield Bypass up to Batts Bridge Roundabout turning right into Batts Bridge Road then just after Maresfield Village Hall turn left back onto normal line of route. For buses operating from East Grinstead the same diversion applies but in reverse.
This is to allow East Sussex Highways to make urgent repairs to the carriageway on High Street, Maresfield.
