PRESS RELEASE, 11 December 2014
India Bus Appeal Success
The appeal which local bus operator, Compass Travel, recently launched to raise funds for a school bus for deprived children in India has been a complete success.
All the money needed was raised with the support of other bus operators, suppliers and members of the public. The bus was delivered to the school a few weeks ago, to the delight of the teachers and children. This was their reaction –
“The long-awaited bus arrived today. So thrilled to be gifted this extravagant gift. We truly appreciate the efforts taken to collect the huge amount and grateful to the individuals who have given for the benefit of these under -privileged children”
Chris Chatfield, Managing Director said, “I would like to thank everyone who supported us in raising money for this much-needed bus. Without it, many children would have many miles to walk to get to school. The children are so eager to learn and are thrilled to have this facility available to them so they can attend school.”
